Festival du Voyageur is officially one week away!
The event will be held February 16th – 25th and will be jam packed with a ton of activities for the whole family!
This year you can carve snow, ice, wood… and even cheddar cheese!
On Feb. 18 after all the ice sculptures are completed there will be Bothwell Cheese carving competition! Six carvers will participate and create a cheesy masterpiece! They have four hours to sculpt an 18-kilogram, 43 by 28 by 35-centimetre block of cheddar! PLUS, Sarah Nick will be there to judge!

A new focus this year is to include EVERYONE. Festival du Voyageur is inviting members of the LGBT community to take part in all the activities! There will even be a night with drag performers, and an opportunity to raise funds also for LGBT refugees!
When you attend the event this year you will notice a price difference as well! Prices for adults have gone up this year, however they have made it more affordable for families!
The adult admission price has increased to $25 a day, while youth aged 13-17 and seniors will now pay $15… Children 12 and under is free!
Around 150 bands, musicians and entertainers will be taking part in this year’s festivities.
