Seven-year-old Gracie held a garage sale in 2013 to raise money for her school's music program in St. Andrews - it raised $605. Then in March the next year, Gracie passed away. Her grandparents continued the garage sale since then, to honour both her and a boy from her school, Gordon, who was also seven when he died in a car accident. Over 30 years ago, a group of volunteers planned a fun and educational day for kids. Now the Teddy Bears’ Picnic, presented by the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba, has grown from seven tents to over 50, providing a fun and free educational experience for the whole family.
