The rumours were true, it’s coming back!
After selling out in stores immediately and leaving thousands of Nintendo fans disappointed, the NES Classic Edition is returning to stores starting June 29, Nintendo announced with a tweet Sunday. The throwback consoles are expected to be available through the end of 2018.

The console was a big hit and flew off store shelves when it arrived November 2016 — Nintendo didn’t expect it to blow up so much as it did. They weren’t able to keep up with demand for the tiny machine, which came with 30 classic NES games like Super Mario Bros., Metroid, The Legend of Zelda, and Donkey Kong.
After months of immediately selling out whenever it came in stock, the NES Classic was discontinued by Nintendo in April 2017.
