The title has been announced for HBO’s Game of Thrones prequel, which will be named The Long Night.
Casting for the series has already begun with Naomi Watts jumping on-board.

The Long Night will start filming sometime in 2019 but Martin said that it’s not the only prequel in the works. It is possible that they will deal with the history of one of the Houses currently on Game of Thrones, like the early Targaryen family.
