She’s allegedly the only Album of the Year nominee who wasn’t offered a solo performance
Lorde’s latest album Melodrama is nominated for Album of the Yearat the 60th Annual Grammy Awards, but she won’t be performing, Variety reports. She was allegedly not offered a chance to perform her own music despite the fact that all other male nominees were. Childish Gambino, Kendrick Lamar, and Bruno Mars will all perform off their nominated albums. JAY-Z reportedly received an offer, but a performance hasn’t been announced. Lorde was allegedly asked to participate in the Tom Petty tribute that will take place during the live broadcast, but declined.
