Instagram Testing “New Posts” Button

If you’re an Instagram lifer, you probably remember the good ol’ days…

Back when every post on IG showed up in your feed as they were posted, chronologically.

Well, they abandoned that a few years ago, and ever since people have been complaining about how out of wack the feed has become, with some posts a week old showing up at the top, which makes you look like a creep for liking.

But, there is light at the end of the tunnel!

From Mashable:

A test, announced via blog post on Wednesday, introduces a “New Posts” button to users’ Instagram feeds. By tapping the button, a user will be brought to the top of their Instagram feed where new posts will appear.

In addition to that new button, our overlords at Instagram have promised to show more “newer posts” first in the feed.

“With these changes, your feed will feel more fresh, and you won’t miss the moments you care about. So if your best friend shares a selfie from her vacation in Australia, it will be waiting for you when you wake up,” the blog post reads.

It’s not quite the old IG feed, but it’s certainly a step in the right direction…

See, whining and complaining about something can sometimes get the job done!
