Manitoba Gives Ride-Sharing Services The Green Light

Looks like the petition that Uber sent out to Manitobans worked!

Early this morning the Manitoba legislature, politicians passed legislation to allow ride-sharing in the province.  They passed Bill 30, which also dissolves the Manitoba Taxiboard.

The new law, which goes into effect March 1st, will give municipalities authority over Uber and other vehicle-for-hire services.

Now that ride-sharing services are coming to the city, would you consider driving for them?
