Justin Timberlake was this year’s performer for the Super Bowl halftime show, if you weren’t able to watch it here is what you missed!
Lets get this out of the way… his performance didn’t include any scandal (NO wardrobe malfunction). Justin Timberlake put on an energetic mix with many of his songs for the last decade, PLUS added in a Prince tribute.
Prior to the halftime show there were rumors that Janet Jackson was set to make an appearance, a reunion of NSYNC or a hologram of Prince.
The only rumor that was close involved Prince. Instead of a hologram, U.S. Bank Stadium was lit up in purple, Justin did a piano rendition of Prince’s ‘I Would Die 4 U’ and there was a video from Prince fluttered on a large white sheet.
Along with his Prince tribute, he also sang his own songs including: “Cry Me A River,” “Suit & Tie,” “SexyBack,” “Senorita,” “Mirrors,” “My Love,” “Can’t Stop The Feeling” and “Filthy”!
Here is what Twitter said about the performance:
