+ BIO
Broadcaster, storyteller, and lifelong Winnipegger, the sometimes surreally sarcastic Steve Adams has worked in radio for close to 14 years. He graduated from the Creative Communications program at Red River College, majoring in journalism. Before getting into radio, he spent many years as a nightclub DJ and freelance music writer, and still does regular music reviews for the Winnipeg Free Press.
Steve likes to cook, but prefers dining out, ideally someplace that serves steak and spiced rum. Despite having two spectacularly spoiled cats, his home has often been described as “so clean, it doesn’t look like anyone actually lives there.”
Over his lifetime, he has spent way too much money on music and clothes. Among some of his favourite movies are Die Hard, Seven, Fight Club, Pulp Fiction, and the Usual Suspects. When he’s not working, you’ll likely find him on Xbox Live playing first person shooters or riding his bike way faster than he should down the Seine river trails in south St. Vital.
