The Legalization of Marijuana will Cost Winnipeg Taxpayers

October 17th is coming up quickly, and taxpayers are well, paying.

The City of Winnipeg predicts that the legalization of marijuana will cost taxpayers about $1.76 million dollars. Majority of these costs will going to policing which is around $1.2 million.

There are still questions that need to be answered such as if the province will share cannabis revenue with municipalities.

As the legalization approaches, more information will be released.
