The province of Manitoba will be closing down some dangerous intersections around the South Perimeter highway in order to make them safer. Particularly 24 intersections between Fermor and Portage which are currently only controlled by stop signs.
They will also be constructing some service roads and a railway crossing. The project will cost $19 million and take three years to complete
