Winnipeg’s newest hockey franchise, the Winnipeg Ice have just secured the first overall pick in this years Western Hockey League Bantam Draft. They edged out 5 other teams (Swift Current, Regina, Prince George, Kelowna and Brandon. This is the second consecutive year the Ice have won the top selection (the first time was while they were in Kootenay).
