The fastidiously private DJ and producer Marshmello does, in fact, take his mask off in public — when he’s in a taxi.
Marshmello is so strict about keeping his cartoonish “head” on that Page Six reported in November that John C. Reilly was furious because he wouldn’t even take it off to meet the actor (although a rep later insisted that Reilly was just kidding around).
But a driver in Vegas who’s chauffeured the superstar DJ a couple times told us that after he’s sure the doors are closed, Marshmello slips the headgear off — and replaces it before he gets out again at the end of the ride.
We’re told he’s a very quiet passenger.
