The Stingray Beach Exhibit is Closed at Assiniboine Zoo

In Stingray Beach Exhibit they have cownose stingrays and southern stingrays…

Now they had to CLOSE the exhibit because some of them are hurt.

I’m gonna make this clear. They were hurt because of a natural mating ritual. Everything is okay. No person was hurt and nobody hurt the stingrays.

They are said to behave this way in the wild too! But for now, until they heal up and are ready, nobody can see the stingrays.

I’m happy they’re doing what needs to be done for the best interest of the stingrays.
