A friendly reminder.
Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service is reminding you (us) to check the batteries in our smoke alarms/CO2 detectors this weekend.
DST is a perfect time to do it!! You’re encouraged to have smoke/CO2 detectors on every floor, and near all sleeping areas in your house.
According to the WFPS site:
Smoke alarms won’t stop a fire, but they can save your life. Make sure you have working smoke alarms installed and change the batteries every year. Test your alarms monthly.
