Oh boy, some Manitobans are pretty frustrated after trying to book a campsite yesterday.
At 7AM on April 5th, in the opening first minute about 12,825 people signed in to get a site. At the same time in 2020, it was 2,804 people.
Around 11AM, Manitoba Parks had made 10,668 reservations. By the same time last year, it was 5,706 reservations.
Keep in mind this is only for the Birds Hill campsites… The next set opens on April 7th.
- April 7: Winnipeg Beach, Betula Lake, Big Whiteshell, Brereton Lake, Caddy Lake, Falcon Beach, Falcon Lakeshore, Nutimik Lake, Opapiskaw, Otter Falls, West Hawk Lake and White Lake.
- April 12: All remaining provincial park campgrounds.
The Parks Reservation Service is now open for all group use sites, all cabins/yurts and Birds Hill campsites.
