It’s a rich Winnipeg tradition…and it’s officially underway for 2022!
The first leg of the River Trail opens today with a new name: Nestaweya River Trail Presented by @wpgfdn!

The Nestaweya River Trail (the original Cree name used for the site of The Forks) officially opened January 4th…although it hasn’t reached it’s typical 7-10km length just yet.
With the port now open…it joins the canopy, the land trails and the CN Stage rink as spots to skate at the Forks!
In related news…the Forks are still looking for used Christmas trees to line the rest of the trail with:
