Ed Sheeran edged out U2.
The “Shape of You” singer has broken the Irish superband’s record for the highest-grossing tour.
Sheeran’s Divide tour just topped $736.7 million after 246 performances, according to Pollstar — and it’s still going for three more weeks.
The previous record was held by U2, whose 360 tour reportedly made $735.4 million in 2011. That tour consisted of 110 performances.
The 28-year-old pop star wraps up his high-earning tour in Ipswich, England, on Aug. 28, completing a 2½ year stretch.
“I just found out the Divide Tour is set to be the highest-grossing tour of all time,” Sheeran said in a statement. “This is amazing.”
