RuPaul’s Drag Race had a very successful premiere episode for season 15. It was the highest rated in six years.
It went up 20% in ratings from the season 14 premiere. To put into perspective.
Season 15 had a 0.63 rating for the 18-49 demographic and season 14 had 0.53 in the same demographic.
This jump could be because of the move to MTV.
It also was the most “social” season premiere ever for the series with 1.3M interactions, outperforming the prior season premiere by 212%.
