Don’t call it a comeback, he really didn’t go anywhere…
From ABC News:
Nick Cannon isn’t slowing down anytime soon. After successfully filling in as host for the Wendy Williams Show during Wendy’s hiatus earlier this year, Cannon has managed to land his own talk show.
Cannon is partnering with Lionsgate’s Debmar-Mercury, the company that produces Williams’ show, for a syndicated daytime talk show that will launch in 2020.
Although details on the show — including the name and launch date– have yet to be revealed, Cannon will serve as both host and co-producer of the series.
“After leaving America’s Got Talent, I wanted to focus on developing my own talk show,” said Cannon in a statement. “I’ve always dreamed of a platform where I can speak to America and discuss pop culture, as well as the topics on everyone’s minds.”
“When I had the opportunity to guest host at my good friend Wendy Williams’ show this year, I experienced the energy and excitement of a daytime talk show and instantly knew I found my audience,” he added.
This is the latest project for Cannon, who currently hosts FOX’s The Masked Singer and was the host of America’s Got Talent for eight years.
