For the first time since being traded in January 2021, Patrik Laine will play tonight in Winnipeg as the Columbus Blue Jackets come to town to face the Jets. It’s one a lot Jets fans have had circled on the calendar for some time and Laine says he’s actually kind of nervous about making his return!
Laine on returning to Wpg: “A little nervous. It’ll be fun. Like I said, playing in front of these great fans again, it’ll be fun. I enjoyed every minute of playing here. Because of the fans. This is one of the best places I’ve ever played hockey, when I played here”

Hopefully he gets a warm welcome because he had some pretty great moments in a Jets sweater.
Two years ago today was a historic night for Patrik Laine on Hockey Night in Canada as he ripped home five goals against the Blues.
Was first Jets player since Alexi Zhamnov in 1995 to accomplish that feat.

Also worth noting he definitely hasn’t lost his sense of humor.
Laine told the media that he's obviously excited to see "not you guys obviously", but everybody else.
LOL. #CBJ
